PIXORA × HOSPITALS & CARE INSTITUTIONS

CONCEPT

Support preservation, alongside care.

PIXORA Elder is a voluntary, non-clinical companion to the care you already provide — helping patients and families capture stories, voice and memory while there is still time. We want to pilot it inside a care setting that shares that urgency.

WHY THIS, WHY NOW

The clinical record captures the condition. Almost nothing captures the person.

Care teams already know that patients and families want more than a treatment plan — they want to be known, heard and remembered. That work usually falls informally on nurses, chaplains and family members, with no structured way to preserve what comes out of it.

01

Family caregivers consistently report wanting more emotional and legacy support than time-pressed care teams can offer.

02

Serious illness and elder care are exactly the moments when people are most motivated to record their story — and least equipped to do it alone.

03

A clearly non-clinical, voluntary offering can sit next to care without adding clinical or liability burden to your staff.

THE OPPORTUNITY

A referral pathway your teams can offer with confidence.

We are looking for a hospital, hospice, or senior living partner willing to pilot PIXORA Elder as an opt-in offering for patients and families who want it. Your teams make a simple, voluntary introduction; PIXORA handles the conversation, capture and family participation from there — entirely separate from the clinical chart.

01

A simple, optional referral your care team can offer — no clinical integration or system access required to start.

02

Clear separation from medical decision-making, documented in writing before the pilot begins.

03

Family-facing, not just patient-facing — participation can include relatives who are not in the room.

THE ASK

What we’re asking for

A conversation with whoever owns patient experience, chaplaincy, or family services at your institution — to design a small, low-risk pilot together, with clear boundaries agreed before a single patient is introduced to it.

  • An introductory call with patient experience or family services leadership
  • A scoped pilot with a small number of opt-in families
  • A joint review of what worked before any wider rollout is discussed

This page describes an early-stage proposal, not an active or signed partnership. No claim of a completed agreement, funding, deployment or clinical capability is made or implied here.
